Business success is not easy to achieved, especially if you run a small business or a start-up where the statistics says 90% of start-ups fail. What if I told you that you can increase your chance of success? How can I be so sure about this? It’s because success leaves clue. Every successful entrepreneur has been through failures and frustration for years before they succeeded. This means that you can learn their lessons and save your time of trial and error and improve your probability of success. There’s a saying that a smart man learns from his mistakes, a wise man learns from others’ mistakes.
Here are the 3 Entrepreneurs that I think you should follow and learn from:
1. Sir Richard Branson
Sir Richard Branson is an English entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. He founded the Virgin Group which owns more than 400 companies. If you want to get business lessons, he is the one. No one knows how to build more companies and have more time like Sir Richard.
Branson’s principle is that you only start a business if it will improve people’s lives. Every business venture of his is focused around the customer and customer satisfaction.
Here’s an interview of Richard sharing his business advice:
“Do not be embarrassed by your failures, learn from them and start again.” – Sir Richard Branson
2. Tony Robbins
Tony Robbins is a life and business strategist. You might have known him for his motivational videos on the internet but in reality, he is also an incredible businessman. The Harvard Business Press called him “One of the Top 200 Business Guru” and American Express praised him “One of the Top Six Business Leaders in the World”. Many people have been through Tony Robbins’ business coaching workshop to take their businesses to the next level. He believes that you need a business map – not a business plan – that can guide you and give you the flexibility of making new changes because the world is moving too fast.
Here’s a short preview of Tony’s workshop:
Tony has served as a key advisor to many renowned world and business leaders in the last 35+ years. He has the ability to deconstruct complex strategies and make them so simple and powerful that anyone can apply to achieve the same results. He also teaches about the psychology and mindset to be successful in business. His principle is 80% of success is psychology and 20% is mechanics. Don’t get me wrong, he is also a strategy guy and that’s why he wrote the New York Times Bestselling book Money: Master The Game. This book contains all the wealth and business strategies from the world’s most successful business entrepreneurs and investors.
“Business is a spiritual game.” – Anthony Robbins
3. Gary Vaynerchuk
Gary is a businessman and a hustler. He is not afraid to tell it as it is. Although a few people might not like his style (swearing too much) but I am a big fan of his work and advice. His philosophy is that you have to be self-aware and passionate to succeed in business. He believes that you need to go all in on your strengths and don’t worry about your weaknesses.
His daily vlog called DailyVee gets tens of thousands of viewers to watch his videos every week. Here’s an example of his video blog:
“Skills are cheap. Passion is priceless.” – Gary Vaynerchuk
That’s it! Those are my 3 favourite entrepreneurs of all time. Let me know what you have learned from them and what you want me to cover in my next post.
